Champs de fracture @bradleyertaskiran_ 10.03. -02.05.2026 With Marie-Michelle Deschamps Dawit L. Petros Jeremy Shaw Erin Shirreff Shaan Syed Across painting, mixed-media, and photography, the exhibition brings together practices and images that slice, scar, and segment, using dissection and division, materially or conceptually, to explore instability and perception. Marie-Michelle Deschamps’ wall-mounted sculpture Silhouettes (bis) (2025), made of vitreous enamel, also carries topographic qualities. Precarious cuts throughout an otherwise solid surface read like delicate linework, akin to a map or an inscribed tablet. The elegance of the sliced relief, whose edges fall gently like petals or torn paper, defy the robustness of the material plane and hardware. Despite the industrial methods in which Deschamps’ works are produced, the artist’s hand remains, retaining the soft gestures from an otherwise mechanical process. 📷: Jean-Michael Seminaro @seminaroj by @marimimie

Malgré le froid qui persiste, on va quand même te donner envie de nager...🐟 💬 Le 17 décembre 2025, la Ville de Laval (@villedelavalqc) a recommandé l’abolition de sa politique municipale d’art public, qui prévoyait l’allocation de 1,75 % du budget des projets de construction de plus de 1 M $ à l’acquisition et à l’intégration d’œuvres d’art sur les sites municipaux. Cette décision est justifiée par la Ville par des contraintes financières. En réponse à cette décision, nous vous dévoilons l'importance de l'art public à Laval ! 🌊 Aujourd'hui, direction le Centre aquatique de Laval pour y découvrir la « Cascade » de Marie-Michelle Deschamps (@marimimie). Cette œuvre est composée de structures en cuivre et en acier inoxydable qui évoque des ondes et formes végétales. La couleur et les formes sont un hommage à la beauté de l'environnement aquatique, une parfaite façon d'accueillir les nageurs et nageuses ! 👀 Diplômée de la maîtrise en arts visuels de la The Glasgow School of Art (@glasgowschoolart) en Écosse, Marie-Michelle Deschamps a développé une pratique ancrée dans la conversation, la collaboration et la traduction. 2016! 2016 marks my return to Montreal after nearly six years spent in Scotland, France, and Switzerland.
