BRAND NEW SHOW - SEDUCE A wet dream with nowhere to go. Alone. Waiting to be wanted. Waiting to be touched. Waiting to become someone else. Trapped inside a world where fantasy and reality begin to rot into one another, I am confronted by a procession of strange, seductive and horrifying versions of myself. Perfect ballerinas, grieving bodies, an innocent child. Part fashion performance, part dance, part theatre, SEDUCE explores the body as both object and performer: something to watch, to be desired, disciplined, punished, seduced. Drawing on the visual language of ballet, horror, cinema, club culture and performance art, the piece moves through tensions of beauty and degradation, tenderness and violence, fantasy and disgust. SEDUCE coincides with an original costume collection created for the performance, transforming the stage into a living fashion spectacle where clothing, movement and the body become inseparable. With original music by Joe Walsh (imithe), SEDUCE is a filthy, seedy, feverish, dreamlike collision of fashion, dance and theatre - a wet dream that slowly reveals itself as a nightmare. Beauty becomes filth. Pleasure becomes punishment. Fantasy becomes flesh. Asphyxia EP launch includes an motion sensor sound improvisation and DJ set from @marinateodora aka Laboranta, the London-based performer and extreme body practitioner working across experimental dance, video, and avant-garde sound collage. She is active within radical performance collectives and spaces including Young Boy Dancing Group, Chronic Illness Theatre, and Metamorphika Studios. Her short film Ogled, addressing sex trafficking of Eastern European women, has screened at Post-Porn Festival in Warsaw and Sadique in Paris. As a DJ, Laboranta weaves dark, violent, and mysterious textures into immersive sonic rituals. by @marinateodora
