2026 North Pocono Cross Classic p/b @nepa_velo - day 1

I really never get on the podium, and only one other time was it a twofer. But WE DID IT!!! We as in me and every single person that’s ever cheered me on in any race I’ve raced. Every single time I hear my name, I push harder, and I try to thank everyone, but sometimes I’m really gasping for air. But seriously, thank you to everybody that helps to make these few few moments extra sweet!

The course was dry. A little bumpy. Rolling. Vibes were chill and mellow. The cool breeze was refreshing, but the sun was a bit hot. All of which made for a beautiful day of #bikeracing!

Szymon really wanted a full podium, so I took one for the team, switched out from the 3/4 to the Masters 40+ 1/2/3/4 so I could endure SIXTY MINUTES of racing, only to follow it up with an immediate addition FORTY MINUTES of Single Speed.

I gotta say, 100 continuous minutes wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be, but by no means was it an easy feat. Thankfully the course had some roll, so there were little hints of reprieve, especially on the #sscx where 150rpm got me zero gains.

I had a pit bike for the first time after @charmcitycx, never had I worried that something that catastrophic could happen, until it does, so now Poo.Two will fill the void of potential catastrophe!

I was super stoked I got to take home a wonderful prize of a pumpkin, just as @lexiyoh_official said the other day how she wanted a nice big pretty pumpkin… I won 2! And in Chinese we say, “吃紅”, which means to share one’s luck/prosperity. So @amandalynndeleo got a pumpkin too!

A fantastic Saturday of racing, but too bad the threat of heavy rains canceled Bubble Cross. I was looking forward to driving up to West Milford to race and pick up the trailer for @cooperrivercross. But instead @fatbuddy4 and I drove up in the heavy rain to grab the trailer without getting any racing in. But we did get @fuddruckersnj, which really made the drive worth it!!!

If you want cool blue @challengetires Grifo’s, @njcxproject has them in 38’s and 33’s for purchase. Proceeds from the sale of the tires goes to help fund the team!
