Art and architecture meet at “Sulejman Elezi” High School in Kamëz. 🇦🇱🇩🇪

Following the earthquake, the construction of the new school building was financed by the German Government. This artwork was created to make that contribution visible—not only through words, but through colour, movement and symbolism.

Inspired by the two hands from Michelangelo’s The Creation of Adam, the mural transforms their almost-touch into a symbol of support, solidarity and mutual respect: the space where another person’s dignity meets our own, without either seeking to dominate the other.

Through its interplay of colours, the artwork expresses the connection between Albania and Germany—and the idea that rebuilding is not only about restoring walls, but also about restoring hope.

In the touch between Michelangelo's two hands lies the secret of respect: the space where the other's dignity meets our own, with no attempt to dominate it.
