🍋 Lemonade Stand This Weekend! 🍋

Friends, Gloria asked if she could make a lemonade stand this weekend to raise money for a precious friend whose family has experienced an unimaginable tragedy. We are thrilled to support this beautiful effort of love and want to help her make it a big success!

Alex and I will set up some mics on the front porch and noodle around on some tunes for anyone who would like to come and drink lemonade and hear music! We also have some prizes we’ll be giving away at the end 🥰

Teaching my littlest about Faith Hill and modulations with this deep cut! Faith Hill has always been my girrrrrrl. I still love her just as much as I did 18 years ago when I moved to nashville, as much as I did all the years before that when she was teaching me how to sing from my discman headphones. I’ve loved her since I wore a headgear and stuffed my training bra and scraped my knees rollerblading and caught fireflies and made up dances with my sister in the backyard. I loved her all throughout my music career, in all the heartbreaks, the highs and lows, and now through motherhood. I’m so thankful to have these lil daughter birdies because they keep me connected to all the magic that makes up girlhood. Love is a sweet thing, indeed!

After I read On The Road in college, Jack Kerouac became my make believe boyfriend. My toxic trait became “I can fix him!” and bless my ENTIRE HEART I really believed in myself for a long time 😂 I never did succeed. Luckily it all worked out in the end when I found the guitar player who knows every chord and plays them all with a most humble heart. by @mariongrace

I’ll never forget how important she made me feel when I was trying trying trying. I’ll never forget to make sure the lipstick reaches the corners, in her honor. I believe the heaven of everyone’s imagination had a special, bedazzled seat reserved for her. Thank you, Mrs. Dolly, for your immense contribution to the greater good. I will always love you.

I sang the demo for this Carrie Underwood song years ago and it came into my brain for some reason today. I looked it up on youtube and found the karaoke version, and apparently turning my foyer into a karaoke bar stressed my house out so bad it made the power go out. And now I'm going to put two kids to bed. Have a lovely evening!
