Marisa Bowman Photography is officially full time, baby! 🥳📷
I still remember walking into my job interview at Enterprise Rent-A-Car 7 years ago and being asked, “Where do you see yourself in 5 years?” Without hesitation, I said, “Running my own business!” (probably not the ideal answer when you’re trying to land a corporate job). It took me 2 years longer than anticipated, but we’re finally here.

Leaving that chapter behind was bittersweet. I’m endlessly grateful for everything I learned there. Climbing the corporate ladder and consistently being a top performer truly taught me what it takes to be my own boss- from understanding income statements and driving sales to mastering marketing, organization, management and customer service, running my photography business so far has felt like second nature to me.

If you’ve known me a while, you know this entrepreneurial spirit isn’t new. The girl in college who was taking photos of food on her iPhone for fun is now taking photos of people for a living, and it feels so surreal to say that.
Here’s to the start of a new chapter, full-time, and fully mine. 🤍 by @marisa_c_bowman

Ft. October photo dump!🍁🍂🌾 by @marisa_c_bowman

What a glorious September!!!!! Celebrated mine and Marks first wedding anniversary, one of my best friends came home from New York and we celebrated her marriage, one of my other best friends announced that she is pregnant, I had the honor of documenting some incredible weddings, had the privilege of flying out to Maine for one of those weddings, Brady started Montessori, I hosted my first ever styled shoot and got to create alongside some of the most incredible people in the Michigan wedding industry, and I hit the biggest goal that I made for myself for my first year as a full-time photographer… 3 months early! I’m feeling so fulfilled, so blessed, so grateful for everything in this beautiful life. PINCH ME! by @marisa_c_bowman
