It feels like yesterday. ❤️
As a 2nd grade teacher that day, I kept my students engaged in normal classroom activities while feeling worried, heartbroken, and devastated inside. Parents began arriving to gather their children and take them home, and by lunchtime, I had about five students left.
One sweet, completely innocent little boy looked at me and said, “Mrs. Dudiak, a lot of kids have dentist appointments today!”
Their innocence was truly a Godsend that day. In the midst of so much fear and heartbreak, they gave me a reason to keep going and a little bit of light when we needed it most. 🇺🇸❤️

Bought Archie a Buc-ee’s hat... because it’s Texas. 🤠
Took him to meet Buc-ee... perfectly reasonable.
Asked FIVE managers where Buc-ee was... getting a little questionable. 😂
Wandered the store for 45 minutes. Waited another 15 minutes in the car just to catch Buc-ee after his break.
Some call it excessive.
Moms and grandparents call it making memories.
Watching sweet Archie meet Buc-ee?
