“just wait” was all I ever heard while I was pregnant“just wait until she starts walking, you’ll never be able to relax again”“just wait until she’s eating solids, you’ll never have a clean table”while those things might be true, there’s so much more positivity in those “just wait” moments too. like this one, a lunch date in the car, that reminds me I was once thinking “I can’t wait” while she was still in my bellyfor every “just wait”, there’s also many more “I can’t waits” 🫶🏽 by @marisayasmin

to the sweetest, smartest, most special girl:I always knew I wanted to be a mom, and my hope was to one day have a little girl. never did I think I would get so lucky as to be blessed with you as my daughter. you light up every room you enter, and everyone who’s ever gotten to meet you knows exactly how special you are. getting to watch how much you’ve changed and grown over this last year has been bittersweet—every milestone you hit makes my heart burst with pride, but I still see that tiny little baby with the gummy smiles who I used to rock to sleep every night when I look at you. being your mom has been my greatest journey and honor, and my hope is that you can look back when you’re grown and be happy with the life your dad and I gave you. we are so proud of you, little luna girl. while I’m sad to leave the one year old version of you in the past, I’m immensely looking forward to seeing this next version of you and the lovely little lady you continue to grow to be. happy birthday, love you to the moon and back 🌙 by @marisayasmin

december and january were a blur of loss, sickness and holiday chaos, but here are some of the good moments in between:- caught an iconic arizona sunset which made the hour commute just a little better- luna has a sticker obsession currently and we’re finding them everywhere - luna also got a bike for christmas and has loved cruising around our neighborhood - my first sewing project was a stuffed bear for my bestie’s baby shower - finally got to bake again so focaccia was a must - sick snuggles - my little future chef chopping up some peppers by @marisayasmin
