My sweet little sister Melia,

Not a moment passes where you don’t occupy every inch of my mind. Your arrival into this world showed me the meaning of loving and caring for a being much littler and more fragile and impressionable than myself. As we grew together, I never stopped learning from you. You instilled confidence and bravery in me, you taught me that love and kindness are most powerful, to never take myself too seriously, the importance of being affectionate, and that listening to sad music when I’m sad never helps (so now I never do). Words can’t even begin to describe this aching hollow feeling in my chest, knowing that I won’t get to see you grow older with me, but I am eternally grateful for every second I had you here. I love you and I miss you so much, and I see you everywhere I go, and in everything that I do.
