It’s an absolute dream to be published in @snatchmagazine Issue 1 alongside so many gifted kindred spirits. I started this year with a strong desire to share more of my work, and seeing my name in print in this gorgeous, thoughtfully crafted magazine has me overflowing with gratitude.

Thank you to @snatchmagazine for your confidence in my writing, your helpful editorial guidance, and all the work that went into this inaugural issue. I’m so excited to watch this magazine grow.

The story I submitted is one of romantic friendship, of fandom and travel. I could not have written it without @kirbucci, @dtotheq, @dodge_intrepid, and my beloved women’s sports crew. I may not have written it at all without @deenanyer giving me a platform and inspiration to tell it. I definitely couldn’t have written it without the 🐐herself (@sbird10). And shoutout to my fellow Clevelander and friend @vueelise for her wonderful work featured in this issue!

Thanks to everybody who’s supported and pushed me to write more this year. I’m so lucky to have you on my roster. I love y’all.

A few weeks ago I hosted my second At The Buzzer, and wow what a dream to talk sports and do bits with and for some of my favorite people.

Legend has it there’s still a missing purple reflex test foamie and a Cosmic Brownie somewhere in the rafters at Imposters Theater.

Thanks to everybody who contributed to my passion project and showed up to laugh with us. It feels good to work these parts of my brain again and share it with you.

At the Buzzer (me) is gonna take a lil hydration break/timeout/offseason Cancun vacay so-to-speak but we’ll be back, trust. by @marissadesantis

On Friday I got to have a lot of sporty fun onstage with some delightful people.

At The Buzzer was really special to me because it held a lot of firsts. I’ve worked on some fun sketch and storytelling shows over the years but this one really felt like mine. From concept to joke and sketch writing, to booking guests, down to designing and writing promo pieces, I’m proud of myself for jumping in and taking on as much as I did. I also got to do a little acting and improv again which was a nice lil treat!

Of course, none of this was done alone. A big thank you to @themichaelbusch and @imposterscomedy for letting me pitch and run with this! Thanks to the best guests @evansroder and @woodman.samurai for the joy and chaos. Thanks to Luke for running tech and making me look professional! @dodge_intrepid got a lot of boos as the ref/co-host, but he’s always such a trusty collaborator and really hyped me when I needed it.

Speaking of hype, thank you coaches @dtotheq and @deenanyer. You make me feel like I can do anything and should do everything.

Thanks to the fam and friends who showed up and filled the house for me. I felt like I was putting on a living room talent show for you. Come over anytime.

Big shout to @webstejb for the stage pics.

Love you, sports fans. taken in Imposters Theater by @marissadesantis
