Oh, Thirty Three was a great year. It was full of expansion, creativeness, & bucket lists experiences. Some I’ve shared on here, & some I’ve kept just for myself. Either way, just as lived. Thirty three showed me I can find mastery in the impossible. I can refine & recreate as many times as I choose. I can hold on to the sacred yes’s & sacred no’s as anchors. & I have the magic in me, baby! Wow, thirty three.. you kinda blew my mind! & I’d loved it!

Independent artist. Creative. Wife. Mother. And a maker who loves exploring a multitude of mediums.

For I Can Hold Your Heavy, Marissa chose to paint—and she’s embracing the beautiful uncertainty that comes with it.

“The beautiful thing about painting is you have to commit to it. Once you put that paint on, you have to figure it out—and that’s life.”

Marissa was drawn to I Can Hold Your Heavy because of its honesty. Art, to her, is about expression—and about being willing to acknowledge what we carry.

“We all hide something in our heavy.”

For her piece, Marissa chose a snake bag, a powerful symbol of fear and transformation. The snake represents fear itself—and the weight that fear can carry.

Her work explores the life cycle of shedding fear, stepping into power, and allowing others in to help hold what feels too heavy to carry alone.

Because sometimes, the very thing we’re afraid to release is what’s keeping us from becoming who we’re meant to be.

And when we let others in, we can begin to shed what no longer serves us…

and come out on the other side with a new life energy.

Today our Belamie turned four! Our babe is FOUR. & fierce & fabulous & the friendliest kid on the block. Bel baby! You have made our lives so much fuller! We love you, forever! Happy Birthday Beautiful !
