What an amazing day. I am truly so blessed and thankful for this experience. Despite all the pain and discomfort (and another hill lol), I wouldn’t change anything about my first marathon experience. The running community is like no other! Thank you to my amazing support system, who cheered me on since I began this journey in May, the spectators who encouraged me to keep going, and Jesus Christ for the ability to do hard things. October 17th 2026 will forever hold a special place in my heart. 🩷 taken in Kansas City, Missouri by @marissapeek

Happy birthday to my person! God knew exactly what He was doing putting you in my life. Through every season, you have been right by my side despite any circumstance. I cannot imagine doing any of this without you! From select softball, college athletics (both schools lol), running our first half marathon, and now planning your wedding. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you, Zo! Love you forever & ever 💌 by @marissapeek

1 Peter 2:23-25

When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” For “you were like sheep going astray,” but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.

Jesus redeems. Jesus restores. Jesus fulfills. Jesus sustains. With Him, there is now hope. May we rejoice is the One who defeated the grave!

Nothing is too big for the God who created it all. You are never too far gone. Seek Him. He will never fail. by @marissapeek
