I came to D.C. with a plan, but I’m leaving with so much more than I could have planned for.

This week reminded me that preparation really does meet opportunity, but also that some of the greatest returns come from simply being willing to invest in yourself.

I came to the National Sales Network Conference intentionally: to learn, to stretch myself, to build meaningful relationships, and to spend a few days surrounded by people committed to excellence and growth.

And I did exactly that.

I listened. I asked questions. I introduced myself. I walked into unfamiliar rooms. I had conversations that challenged my thinking and others that affirmed just how much I’ve grown.

One of my biggest takeaways was realizing that growth doesn’t always announce itself while it’s happening. Sometimes you recognize it when you enter a room that once would have intimidated you, and realize you’re comfortable there now.

There is something powerful about deliberately placing yourself in environments that require more of you. New rooms expose you to new perspectives, new standards, and sometimes entirely new possibilities for yourself.

I’m leaving D.C. grateful for every conversation, every lesson, every connection, and every moment that stretched me.

Still learning. Still growing. Still becoming.

And increasingly intentional about the rooms I choose to enter. 🤍 taken in Washington D. C. by @marissaqena
