Big news! 🌱✨ I’m officially an author!

My first children’s book, The Little Seed’s Long Wait, is now published and ready to share with the world. It’s a story about patience, hope, and the magic of believing in yourself—brought to life with whimsical characters like Sprout, Rooty, Digger, Sparkle, and Weaver.

This story has been an inspiration in my heart for a long time and I couldn’t be more excited to finally share it. 💛

Never stop chasing what you love. 💫

I’m holding my first children’s book, The Little Seed’s Long Wait — a dream that took time, patience, and a lot of heart.

This moment reminds me:

🌱 It’s never too late.
🌱 Don’t give up.
🌱 Joy comes when you follow what lights you up.

Today, I’m celebrating this accomplishment — and hoping it inspires you never give up on your own dreams. 💛

Little Seed has been keeping me busy lately! 🌱

I know I've said this before, but I feel it's worth mentioning again. When I first created Little Seed and his friends, I had no idea how much their world would grow.

As I've continued writing new stories and imagining new adventures, I've discovered that these little characters have developed personalities of their own. It's helped me shape each new story around the traits they bring to it. It's so cute and fun!

Bringing them to life has become one of my favorite parts of the creative process.

There's a lot happening behind the scenes right now, and I'm excited to share more as everything comes together.

Little Seed and his friends aren't finished telling their stories. Not even close! ❤️

How to Master Procrastination and Still Be Productive

Now that’s a book I’d read!

Yes, I am a procrastinator. Early in my career I was in a position where our entire team took a test, not that I remember which one it was, and sure enough, I was labeled: Procrastinator.

But the interesting thing was that it was framed as a “superpower,” so for years I wore that label proudly.

The great thing about knowing it is that now I recognize it. It looks like moving things around on my desk or getting up for a glass of water, checking one more email or scrolling for “just one more minute.”

Meanwhile, the thing I actually need to do is sitting right in front of me.

I’ve learned that the hardest part isn’t doing the work. It’s recognizing all the little ways I avoid starting it.

And once I finally start, I usually wonder why I spent so much time doing everything else first.

Can anyone relate?

Had such a nice time at Barbara’s Bookstore yesterday! 📚💚

It was so fun seeing The Little Seed’s Long Wait on the shelves, meeting readers, signing books, and of course bringing Little Seed along for the day.

There are still a few signed copies available at the store if you’re nearby.

And apparently Little Seed made himself right at home with the other plushies. 😂

Thank you to Barbara’s for having me!

New blog is live: How do you compete with 699,000 other children’s books?

A few thoughts on standing out in a very crowded market.

One thing I’m learning is that the right creative partner can change the entire experience of bringing a story to life.

It’s not just about talent but also about trust and communication. When you find someone who understands what you’re trying to create without needing every detail spelled out, that’s when the magic happens!

When that connection is there, the process feels different and the ideas move faster. It makes the feedback easier, and the work starts to feel less like explaining and more like building something together.

I’m realizing that part of being an author is not just learning how to tell the story. It’s learning who you want beside you while you bring it into the world.

From sketch to color

One of my favorite parts of making a book is watching the characters come to life.

A little behind the scenes peek at something new.

One of the fun parts of making a book is seeing an illustration go from a rough sketch to full color.

I get to watch the characters take shape a little at a time, and I still love that part.

Here’s a little peek 🫣 at what’s happening behind the scenes.
