Moments from “The Autonomous Nexus of Art Across Forms and Mediums,” interlocuted by @sardar__zahid through @bhaba.chakra , on the occasion of Mubtasim Alvee’s inaugural solo exhibition, “A Shared Condition.”

Through conceptual fragments and epistemic trajectories emerging from the works of Donna Haraway, Susan Sontag, and Mikhail Bakhtin, I attempted to critically navigate the ontology of intent: how it materializes within artistic consciousness, how it discloses itself through aesthetic practice, and how, in traversing across mediums, it destabilizes rigid formal taxonomies to produce a more polyphonic and trans-medial mode of expression.

Alongside this, Jaheen Faruque Amin mapped the historical and intersectional genealogy of visual art from the camera obscura to the cinematic image, while @mariumrupa articulated a compelling phenomenological reading of art as an embodied process, wherein the body itself emerges simultaneously as site, medium, and expressive apparatus.

Heartfelt thanks to all who were present and who participated with such attentiveness and generosity, making the evening a collective field of thought and exchange. And special gratitude to @mubtasim_alvee for creating “A Shared Condition,”where such conversations could meaningfully take shape.
