I’m joining @aclu_nationwide and over 400 fellow artists to condemn the federal government’s retaliation against Jimmy Kimmel, along with artists, journalists, individuals, and companies for exercising their right to free speech.

Marjan Neshat. Tony awards. Featured Actress in a Play. Presenter for Best Play for the Pulitzer Prize winning English. The first Iranian born actress, along with her costar Tala Ashe, to ever be Tony Award nominated. Broadway Debut. Making history. Just a snippet of the award press.

Talent, kindness, generosity probably to fault… mother, daughter, wife, actress, friend, humanitarian, in no particular order… a person who once texted me 87 times in one day. All facts on Marjan. I love you. I’m so happy for you. I’m so happy you will never ask me another question about a dress for at least 2 weeks. I’m so happy that the world finally has the opportunity to see your talent and beauty and I cannot wait for what’s next. You deserve every wonderful opportunity that is heading your way.
