National Son’s Day 🤎🖤

Lord, Thank You for blessing me with an AMAZING SON!! . Lord, cover Horace, protect him, guide him, and order his steps wherever life takes him. Keep him safe from danger seen and unseen, surround him with good people, and continue to grow him into the man You created him to be.

And Lord… thank You for giving me a son who will let his mama be silly, rap with her, laugh with her, and make memories that we’ll probably never stop talking about! 😂😂

Our bond is one of my greatest blessings. I pray he always knows how deeply his mama loves him and how faithfully I pray for him.

Protect my son, Lord. Keep him covered, keep him laughing, and keep him close to You. 🙏🏾🖤

Now excuse us while we go back to our regularly scheduled foolishness. 😂🎤

I may be a few days late for “National Daughters Day”, but my gratitude to God is right on time.

Looking at these pictures—from little praise dancers at our church; to the amazing women they are today—my heart is overwhelmed with gratitude.

God blessed me with two beautiful, sweet, kindhearted; loving, & God-fearing daughters who continue to choose Him, love His Word, and walk in Faith.

I don’t take the blessing of being their mother for granted. I’ve watched God grow them, keep them, and shape them—and I’m so proud of the women they’ve become.

Lord, thank You for trusting me with these two precious and beautiful souls. May they continue to know You, love You, and serve You all the days of their lives. 🙏🏾❤️

Beautiful Energy at the UrbanFest 360.

A heartfelt thank you to the founders and entire UrbanFest 360 team for creating a space where filmmakers, storytellers, creatives, and audiences can come together to celebrate film, culture, and the power of storytelling.

As a Film Producer & Creative Executive, it was truly a blessing to be in the room—watching incredible documentaries, features, and shorts while connecting with some amazing directors, writers, producers, actors, and content creators.

There were several moments that stood out to me:

🎥 David Fortune, award-winning writer and director, thank you for sharing your story and giving us a glimpse into your creative journey. Hearing from filmmakers about their experiences is always inspiring and encouraging.@bydave_fortune

🎭 The Black Script / Chris Greene— what an incredible experience! Receiving audition sides and having the opportunity to perform a live audition in the room and receive feedback was both challenging and valuable. It was a great reminder of the importance of being prepared, taking risks, and continuing to sharpen your craft.@theblkscript @realchrisgreene

🎬 Jason D. Gregory, UCF Professor — thank you for being present and contributing to the festival through your Pop-Up Screening Workshop. I truly appreciate educators and industry professionals who make themselves available to share knowledge and create opportunities for creatives to learn.@jaydgreg

And then there were the FILMS and Awesome screenplays 🍿🎥

From documentaries to features and shorts, I was reminded of just how much talent exists within our creative community.

I left the festival grateful—not only for the films I watched, but for the people I met, the conversations I had, and the inspiration I received.

Losing my mom two years ago has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever experienced in my life. The grief has been so deep that it has even taken me to the hospital more than once. Last year was tough and the beginning of this year was worse.

Diagnosis( Migraines)

But within the last few months, I’ve felt a shift -mentally physically and emotionally; due to PRAYER, consistent EXERCISE ; joining BLACK GIRLS RUN, as well as working with an amazing physician. Health is truly WEALTH!

Through it all, God has kept me.🙏🏿

My children are growing, my firstborn just graduated college , and all three of my children are walking with the Lord and doing well. That gives me a peace and gratitude that words can’t fully express.

And now, I’m learning to be intentional about living again.

Not just work. Not just responsibilities. Not just taking care of everyone else. But making room for friendships, laughter, dressing up, going out, traveling, creating memories, and simply enjoying this beautiful life God has given me.

As I’m rediscovering myself; I’m realizing that this season is not about waiting for the next chapter. It’s about living this one.

Last night was one of those moments. 🥂✨ Good friends, laughter, beautiful memories, and a reminder that there is still so much life ahead of me.

I’m not forgetting where I’ve been. I’m honoring it—and trusting God with where I’m going.

This is my season to live, love, laugh, and be intentional about enjoying the life God has given me. And I intend to do just that.

@kalalousignature had a great event. Delicious food, and music by @djjeanuwine and Monsieur Roro had me on my feet dancing the night away.

💛YELLOW LOOKS GOOD ON US! 💛

There’s just something about an all-yellow affair that makes everybody shine—especially on melanin! 💛🤎

I absolutely LOVE a classy, upscale, and a little bougie event where I can get dressed up, step out, and give a little elegance, glam & sophistication. 🥂👠✨

Because when the dress code says YELLOW… I understood the assignment! Wonderful night with friends; filled with laughter, good music and great conversation. ❤️ by @marjoriegtingle

The Mantle Conference was a beautiful reminder that God is preparing His daughters for a greater assignment. 🙏🏾✨

From the worship that ushered us into His presence to the powerful words spoken over our lives, there was a tangible anointing in the room. I came expecting, and God exceeded every expectation.

Surrounded by women of faith, I was reminded that we are called, chosen, equipped, and covered for such a time as this. There is a mantle that comes with purpose, and I believe God is awakening something greater in this season.

My heart is full, my spirit is refreshed, and I am grateful for every moment of this divine encounter. ❤️🔥

During the Juneteenth weekend, I had the privilege of gathering with an incredible community of women at the Mahogany Table Signature Retreat.

As we celebrated the legacy of freedom, resilience, and hope that Juneteenth represents, we were also reminded that true flourishing requires moments of rest, reflection, and genuine connection.

Thank you to our visionary leader - @latashamferguson for creating a space where women could step away from the demands of everyday life to be renewed, inspired, and equipped for what’s ahead. Every detail reflected excellence, intention, and love.

Here’s to honoring those who came before us by continuing to build, lead, dream, and flourish together.

The future of Mahogany Table is bright, and I’m grateful to be part of the journey.

Grateful for another year of life and for the beautiful people who showed up to celebrate with me last night.
Every conversation, every laughter, and every moment around that table reminded me how important community is in this journey.

So blessed to be surrounded by love, laughter, and people who pour into me beyond the surface. As I continue building my path as a film producer; I’m reminded that storytelling and life are deeply connected- both are shaped by community.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made the night unforgettable. New year, deeper vision,and stronger execution. So blessed to have amazing sisters in Christ. Missing a few who weren’t able to attend but thanking God for their presence in my life.Walking into everything God has for me in this season..❤️

Today was truly Beautiful.

I had the honor of attending my dear friends @samarra_st_otr event this morning, as she hosted a beautiful breakfast for families with special needs.

Watching her serve with so much love, patience, compassion, and grace was inspiring. What she does goes far beyond title and recognition.

Yes, she is an NAACP award-winning author, but more importantly, she has a genuine gift to serve others. The way she pours into families; create safe spaces and lead with kindness is something special to witness. You can feel her heart in everything she does.

The world needs more people like her -caring, selfless, and committed to making others feel seen, loved and supported.Thank you for inviting me to be part of such a meaningful day. Your light shines far beyond the room, and so many lives are better; because of your love and dedication.
