What a crazy day at 909 🖤🫣 I have been waiting for this moment for almost 20 years and yesterday finally got the chance to meet the person who made me fall in love with techno. Back then, when I was searching my new musical identity as a teenager, I have stumbled upon @chris_liebing music and the rest is history. Since then, he’s my favourite artist, and it was an absolute honour to finally meet him…after so many years, and so many unforgettable parties all over the world. Thank you Chris for inviting me to 909 and big shout out to the amazing @roland_leesker who made it possible for an old dream of mine to come true 🙏🖤 you guys are amazing! by @mark.pvm

The Book of TECHNO • Immerse yourself in the history of one of the last great musical revolutions of modern times and discover the evolution of the today’s leading electronic music genre, which born in a tiny Detroit bedroom and grew into a global phenomenon. The book was written with the aim to provide insight into the birth of this genre and dispelling all the misconceptions about it. The historical events you will read about here range from the late 1960s all the way to 2025, including the British rave and Spanish club culture, the rise of the Berlin techno movement, biographies of all major artists like Juan Atkins, Richie Hawtin or Oscar Mulero and about the today’s mega-events like the Holland Awakenings and Amsterdam Dance Event. #thebookoftechno #detroittechno #berlintechno #rave #awakenings #berghain #tresor #movement #richiehawtin #juanatkins #svenvath #lukeslater #larutadelbakalao #larutadestroy #mayday #loveparade #90stechno #technoculture #chrisliebing #laurentgarnier #derbunker #kitkat #fabriclondon #gashouder #awakeningsfestival #amsterdam #ade #carlcox #drumcode @richiehawtin @kevinsaunderson @oscarmulerooficial @tresorberlin @svenvaeth_official @juan.cybotron.atkins @movementdetroit @barraca_music @amsterdamdanceevent @amnesiaibiza @spook.club @berghain_panoramabar @chris_liebing @chrisliebing_fansclub @ravetheplanet @realadambeyer @derrickmay @mayday_dortmund #thebookoftechno by @mark.pvm

A year ago today, a beautiful dream became reality when years of diligent work came together in a publication, followed by an incredible and exciting series of events, during which all I tried to do was simply enjoy and capture the magical moments, as it was quite hard to believe this was really happening to me. I was fortunate enough to meet and share thoughts with the greatest techno legends in the world, got invited to some of the most prestigious music events – standing on the main stages, in the DJ booths and green rooms of the most sacred festivals and clubs around Europe – met all the amazing people working in the background; the managers, promoters and agents of the artist is something that I will always cherish. Although it is a phenomenal feeling and a real privilege to gain access to the most exclusive people and places in the world of techno, the overwhelming positive feedback from fans, friends and family is the real reason why this whole thing is worth all the effort. Seeing my book popping up in Submerge Detroit or Tempio Shop in Milan, the artists and organizations I have always admired sharing my work, the several episodes of the Chinese audio program based on my book, reading messages from Columbia, Australia, Iran, Spain, Brazil and the US, letting me know how much this book means to them and thanking me for compiling all the historical events into a single volume…these are the things I am truly grateful for. If this publication has enriched the life of even one person, then it has been worth it – because it was never about money, but for the culture.

Now, looking back, knowing that no matter how much I tried to preserve these beautiful moments, the magic fades over time, and “I wish there was a way to know you’re in the good old days before you’ve actually left them”. But you know what…I think I knew it all along 🖤 ………………………………………………………………………………….
