A collection we still love looking back on. Some work stays with you. And when you revisit it years later, you realize: the idea still holds. Our Winter 2011 collection for Baldessarini was one of those projects – and remains one of our favorite collections we created for the brand. Under the theme “Light & Shadow,” we reinterpreted classic menswear through new proportions, precise tailoring, and a focused palette ranging from deep black through shades of grey to white. A key part of the process was the fabric development. Working closely with some of Italy’s finest mills, we developed fabrics specifically for the collection – with a strong focus on quality, texture, structure, and drape. And then there was @andref3000 . For us, he was the perfect face for Baldessarini – authentic, masculine, sophisticated, and completely natural in the clothes. Looking back, it feels as if model, collection and brand came together in exactly the right way. Seeing these images again reminds us what great menswear is about: a clear idea, exceptional fabrics, precise silhouettes, and a deep understanding of the product. stunning collection 🖤 @h.a for @tomford I chose David Bowie’s Lady Grinning Soul because, to me, the song embodies mystery, sensuality and decadence. It portrays a fascinating, almost unattainable figure who feels both seductive and distant.
