How would you feel getting a 25% pay cut?!

Before Parliament today, I met with radiation therapists rallying against Health Minister Nicholls’ and Premier Crisafulli’s proposed 25% pay cut.

This would drive these skilled workers who identify and treat people with cancer out of Queensland and into interstate hospitals - a loss our patients in our public health system simply can’t afford 😔🤦‍♀️

Premier Crisafulli needs to reverse this callous decision immediately before it does more damage to wait times and treatment. by @mark_bailey_mp

Football is meant to bring people together, not make life harder for families already doing it tough ⚽

Football Queensland’s proposed fee increases risk putting the game out of reach for families already struggling with the cost of living - Premier Crisafulli should be doing everything he can to stop this from happening.

I’m backing football clubs across QLD and calling on Football Queensland to pause their proposed fee increases and properly consult clubs and families before making a decision that would force kids off the field.

Around 1 in 5 Australians experience a mental health disorder each year, making this World Mental Health Day a powerful reminder that we must break down stigma and ensure no one ever feels ashamed to ask for help ❤️

That message was at the heart of Yeronga State High School’s Youth Mental Health Expo this week, where students had the chance to learn about available support services and have open conversations about mental health.

This is what can happen when hospitals don’t have the beds, staff and resources to keep up with growing demand 😡

Townsville patients had their hospital expansion stopped by Premier Crisafulli two years ago and can’t afford more delays.
