An Ode to Frisky ​A tiny traveler from the street, Brought by Floofy to our door, With velvet ears and nimble feet, We couldn’t ask for any more. ​He claimed the garden as his own, A kingdom built of sun and grass, Where seeds of gentle love were sown, Watching all the hours pass. ​Though the dogs kept watch inside, He held the porch with quiet grace, With nowhere left for him to hide, He found his home within this place. ​He didn’t need a lifetime’s years, To teach a heart a brand-new song, To wipe away the old-held fears, And show us where his kind belong. ​A fleeting light, a tragic end, Beneath the Sunday evening sky, We lost a small and faithful friend, And bid a heavy, hushed goodbye. ​But Frisky, though you’ve moved along, Your tiny paws left prints behind, Within a heart now brave and strong, To every cat you left behind. by @markatrt96

It's a good thing to donate. Kern County residents are the best. So many have stepped up to fill the shelves at Houchin to help those in need. And, the bonus is visiting with great peeps that work there. Ilse and Cynthia are two awesome people.
