My mission as Ikonick’s Co-founder has always been clear: inspire a growth mindset through art. Now I’m expanding that vision into a new medium.

After 8 years of building Ikonick, I took a pause in October to map out 2025. I realized that a lot of my happiness comes from both learning and teaching.

If you know me, you know I’m obsessed with driving performance in all aspects of my life, but most particularly in business. And what I know is this - nothing accelerates growth like connecting with other smart humans. In my 8 years of building Ikonick, I’ve built a great network, largely through an era from 2018 - 2020 when I was creating content. I had a web series and podcast, but the podcast was always my favorite.

This is why I'm launching @openresidency - a platform where I sit down with the people I want to learn from. Operators, marketers, creators, specialists - anyone who's figured something out that I haven't. The goal is simple: become a more well-rounded entrepreneur. I'm diving deep into the tactical stuff - not just what they've built and why, but exactly how they've done it. The kind of insights that actually help you get smarter at building.

These are my favorite conversations in the world, and I'm sharing them through my lens as an operator to help anyone building their next thing. First up is a conversation with an absolute animal who's raised $95M and is building what I believe will become a multi billion-dollar company. Day 673 of @openresidency  Day 3,613 of @ikonick

I spend most of my time now on a media business instead of my consumer business, but the same principles still apply.

One rule is king:
If you stay in the game long enough, everything starts to compound.
Ikonick has had some crazy ups and downs over the last decade. Just a few years ago, I was ready to sell it. A few strategic changes later, nearly 10 years of learning is paying off: we’re having one of our most profitable years in company history.

For anyone out there struggling: get a little better every day, stay alive, and watch your competitors quit. Outwork, outlearn, and eventually you’ll outlast everyone.
I’m not really introspective, but I’m trying to do it once a month.
Amazing September.
