Happy 7 years to my best friend, @paytondejaynes ! 7 years of what seems like never ending chaos between multiple moves, job changes, dogs, a pandemic, and all the ups and downs in between. I wouldn’t have wanted to do any of it, nor would I have made it through it with anybody else. Love you! by @markdejaynes

Not usually a big “throwback” poster but this popped up today and couldn’t help but relive it. Soundcheck and show at the Houston Rodeo. By far the biggest venue I’ve ever played. 70K + in attendance. Sheesh. Also you’re not drunk, the stage was spinning.

Last week we helped my parents pack up and move down to TN and said goodbye to the only family “home” I’ve ever known. A whole lot of life happened inside these walls and so many memories made there. Odds are if you are reading this, you likely spent at least a few moments there at some point. Our door was always open to anybody, anytime. As hard as it is to wave goodbye to a place like that, I’m thankful to hear that a great new family is moving into it to make their own memories and live even more life there. I hope and pray it’s as good to them as it was to us. Now, to make new memories with all our family in one place for the first time in a very long time. ✌️out Bluffdale, it’s been real. taken in Gladstone, Illinois by @markdejaynes

So sad to hear of the passing of Ryne Sandberg. Ryno was one of the first hero’s I ever had as a kid and no doubt one of the biggest reasons I grew up a @cubs fan. In the back yard and on the little league field I wanted to be just like him. Between him and The Hawk (also pictured) my love of the Cubs and all things baseball took root at a very young age. So thankful that this epic moment happened by complete chance a few years ago. Thanks for the memories @rynesandberg23 you will be missed by millions. Prayers go out to your family and friends during this time. by @markdejaynes

I got this bass as a gift from my parents and brother when I was 15. It was really the only bass I had and the only one I played for all of my teens and twenty’s. When I moved to TN in 2013 it got messed up pretty bad through a series of unfortunate events and hasn’t worked or even made any noise in 11 years. Until now. Massive thanks to my bud and ridiculous tech @clm9_84 for taking it home and literally bringing it back to life. Also shoutout to @zachrickardmusic for your work and expertise as well and @dhtitus over at @aguilaramp for the guidance on the pickups and pre amp that we dropped in. This thing has never sounded better. Think I’ll take it for a spin at church this weekend. Looking forward to it, old friend.

**swipe right to see it in action back in the day and a pretty great soul patch to match. The early 2000’s were a wild time. by @markdejaynes

POV: Soundcheck on the rocks. Couldnt believe I got to play here the first time, let alone getting to come back 2 years later. Unreal.

*disclaimer*: Dramamine required to watch this clip. Sorry.
