About last night.... I've become a lover of old fashioneds (very on brand for me). I've been on a search to find the best old fashioned in NYC for the last year and I haven't been able to beat Raines Law Room (which was actually the first I had). Last night, I found a contender at Dear Irving on Hudson. Turns out... they're sister bars, so it makes sense. I narrowly missed two massive snowstorms in New York City. And both times I was ready to wear this amazing Harris Tweed suit from @alandavidcustomsuits. Not that I'm rooting for more snow just for an excuse to wear it...but I am good with the cold weather to stick around just so I can... It's warm, stylish, and makes me feel a bit Don Draper. I was out on the town just 'Hammin' it up. See what I did there? No...? Fine...just focus on the suit. As a writer...I have a complicated relationship with AI. Like all technological advances, it helps and hurts. But now it's winning me over through sheer flattery. When I asked it to make an image using everything it knew about me...it created a knock-off Indiana Jones...a diet @gatesygram... So I'll give AI a little more grace as long as these bangers still get churned out. Started the year with the goal of 25 books in 2025. I ended up with 30. Last year I landed at 21 during my 24 in '24 challenge. As a writer, I sometimes find it hard to take time to read. I've felt bad about not spending that time working on my own novels. What I discovered is that @kylemillsauthor @jackcarrusa @_nickpetrie_ @megan_lally_ and @darcybooks were the inspiration I needed and I did more personal writing this year than the last two years combined. So, if you have a goal...don't forget to take the time to get inspiration from the people doing what you want to do. The utility blazer is the unsung hero of my wardrobe. Especially in the fall and spring when I need a jacket that can look great as a light casual top layer or at dinner with a casual tie. Also, there is nothing better to wear in the air. Pockets, comfort, and an elevated look for the sky.
