Some people train for competition. I train for survival. Boxing gives me a place to channel the fight that’s been in me my whole life. Coming from struggle, there was always a battle to prove myself, overcome obstacles, and rise above circumstances that should’ve broken me. The ring reminds me that pressure doesn’t destroy you….it reveals you. Life is a war. Not against flesh and blood, but against complacency, fear, doubt, temptation, and every obstacle that tries to keep us from becoming who God created us to be. That’s why I train. Spiritually.
