My EP, "Battleground," is out today.
It can be really hard to get songs like these right once you get in the studio. But @markedgarstuart , who produced this EP, always seems to take my weird, unconventional songs and make sure that the studio adds to them without covering them up with unnecessary instrumentation or vocal effects, or metronome use. The musicians Mark got together for this project (Danny Banks, Logan Hanna, Bailey Bigger, Tony Thomas, CJ Manning, Shawn Zorn, and Andy Ratliff) did such an amazing job with these songs. And the engineer, @nivekhouston, is a wizard! Getting to record it at @samphillipsrecording really put the whole experience over the top. It was such a joy to work with those great people in that amazing, historical environment. by @markedgarstuart

Today we lost our sweet Ouiser. She was a great dog. So gentle and kind. Those eyes say it all. I’m beyond sad, but @mook76 is devastated. That was her special dog, and she was the best dog mom EVER. It all happened so fast. This pic was taken last week. Love ‘em while you got ‘em, cuz ya never know when time is up.💔 by @markedgarstuart

Yesterday we finally laid mom to rest. It was quite the ordeal but it’s done. She was the best mom a boy could ever ask for. “Love you oceans,” as she would always say.❤️🕊️🌊 by @markedgarstuart
