I had a chance to talk to a well known NC artist by the name of @markeesteele. He hails from Durham NC and to me is hidden gem in the North Carolina music scene.

One of the biggest boosts in his career came through 9th Wonder, who was actually his college professor and mentor at North Carolina Central University. That connection helped shape his pen and production choices for the artist he is today.

He recently released a EP titled " Pops, Dad, farther" which speaks about the emotions that come with being a farther and his perspective of being raised without his.

When you get a chance make sure to stream " Pops, dad, farther and follow @markeesteele !
