Happy Birthday to the love of my life My best friend, the best dad, and the most incredible husband I could ever ask for. You are the calm in my storms, the steady hand I hold, and the one who always shows up — no matter what. Your love, strength, and support mean everything to me. Watching you be an amazing father to our kids and a constant rock in my life fills me with so much gratitude. Thank you for always being there — for the late nights, the hard days, the laughs, and the quiet moments. I’m so lucky to do life with you. Here’s to celebrating you today and always. I love you more than words can say. Happy Birthday, babe. by @markeisha_hall

Six months ago, I had my thyroid removed for Graves’ disease. Two weeks later, I heard the words “papillary carcinoma”—thyroid cancer. It’s been a journey filled with fear, faith, and so many lessons. Monthly tests kept showing cancer, and the waiting was agonizing. But after an ultrasound, I finally got the best news—no signs of cancer! This journey has tested me in every way. I’ve battled anxiety, hospital visits, and major life changes while also managing chronic illnesses like bronchiectasis (a lifelong lung disease). Through it all, my incredible husband, Dre, has been my rock, holding our family together without hesitation. Our kids have been resilient, and we’re still showing up for life, no matter what. I’ve lost people along this journey… and that hurt but I’ve also been reminded of God’s grace through unexpected kindness. Sharing this is not easy, but if my story helps even one person feel less alone, it’s worth it. The journey isn’t over, and managing chronic illness comes with its own challenges—especially while traveling. I’ve learned a lot along the way and will be sharing tips on what has worked for me in hopes it helps someone else. It can feel lonely, but connecting with others who truly understand has made all the difference. We are here. We are living. We are pushing forward. Stay tuned for more! #ThyroidCancerSurvivor #GravesDisease #Bronchiectasis #ChronicIllness #HealingJourney #FaithOverFear #CancerFree #ThyroidectomyRecovery #AutoimmuneWarrior #HealthJourney #PushingForward #GodIsGood #StrongerThanBefore #Survivor #MedicalJourney #TravelWithChronicIllness by @markeisha_hall
