The Island

‘You never leave the island’
For the island is in your heart
As we drift in different ways
Remember, we all have played our part

The memories the laughter
The heat that won’t relent
The glistening views we all have seen
Tuesday matinee’s torment

‘I don’t wanna talk
about things we’ve gone through’
As much, I hold so dear
As that ridiculous moon shines one last time it’s sure to bring a tear…

So, say ‘thank you for the music’
that will never go away
As the island never leaves you
In your heart it will always stay by @markgoldthorp
