Please read this caption:

These books are heavy (both literally and figuratively)
But this weight feels all too familiar.
Minnesota is grieving. The country is hurting. Rights are being stripped, hate keeps getting written into law, and violence keeps perpetuating.

It’s been a long seven months.
And then…Untitled shows up.
Maybe it’s divine timing. Maybe it’s a reminder not to look away. Not to go silent.

“silence in the face of injustice is complicity with the oppressor”

Inside UNTITLED is poems of grief and art pulled from unrest. They don’t read like a statement, they exist like a puzzle, feeling like a diary you weren’t suppose to open.
A conversation between image and word, between you and your own feelings.

This book isn’t meant to soothe. It’s meant to stir.
To remind us that FEELING is its own form of resistance.

I’m so proud to have helped bring this into the world, especially right now.
Because this isn’t silence. This is proof that art carries what we can’t bury.

Huge love to @snapcollectiveworld for presenting this artist @stephaniedillon_art with a special opportunity to showcase her talent, and for trusting me to curate. Since March, I’ve been piecing together poems and images that speak to each other, telling a story…not about us, but about you. About the parts we see, the parts we hide, and the secrets that stay hidden.

This book asks you to feel. Whatever that means for you. But know this: this is not business as usual.

This is much more than business.

Even if it’s not perfect I’m sure we can find the perfect use for it @stephaniedillon_art
Do other paint establishments offer this??? I hate supporting this place 👀

Unfortunately I have a toxic love affair with side quests. Consider this an expansion into the mini art market :p

Y’all get excited really quick because @therabbitholempls is officially my first public art display 🐰🥹✨

HUUUUGE s/o to my boss/mentor/hype queen @stephaniedillon_art for collaborating with me like always and hooking me up with this project. Seeing my handwriting, graphics, and artwork out in the world feels surreal.

Working on this commission was so fun! @joedcberg really wanted to champion local culture, sports, and the creative energy that makes Minneapolis what it is and I swear this is about to become your new favorite sports bar in NE MPLS.
See you at karaoke on Wednesday?

Big thank you to the owners for supporting local artists and giving us space to create something special. Feeling very grateful, inspired, and honestly more alive than ever for what’s coming next 🖤
