"I know my worth, I own my world"

The way I step on the ground (fiercely and softly) while wearing my boots makes me feel like a personification of a heavy mist: gentle at its core, yet carrying the extraordinary force of hovering in the air against all the odds.

Some appreciate it, others couldn't care less. But my world has never needed permission or external validation to unfold. Leather is the crown I wear to express the power my identity carries

Wherever I go, my presence rises as my existence fades. Like a flash in the dark

My voice is still blossoming but it already echoes

Wearing leather in one of the hottest cities in the whole brasilian Northeast is all about existence and resistance. The night got flashy when we were walking around and everyone nearby couldn't take their eyes off us. But we're just flaring stars 🌠 by @markinleather

"Yeah I'm rising in my waves, my voice is blossoming
Where the petals grow bold, even suffocating I glow
Two cruel and beautiful flowers, divine
Beautiful, I take control, let the universe unfold"

The 4th Leather Meeting in brasilian Northeast happened in Fortaleza, State of Ceará. It was too nice meet some people who matches with our manners of identity expression. Hope we keep on doing a good job as an increasing community, strengthening each others no matter what it takes 🖤 by @markinleather

These pictures of June were taken in the bathroom of one of the best men I've ever known. He's a legend of Art, you know. I was wondering why that fantastic man was opening the doors of his house to a stranger the first time he invited me there. He kept inviting me and we built an amazing friendship.
I was staring at my reflection in the mirror, making faces and poses and feeling so lucky to have that moment with myself in a place I wasn't feeling insecure.
There are places that only a mirror can take me to. The two sides of my face represent two different forces I still cannot deal with. One of them is responsible for making me feel like I'm not beautiful or worthy, an ugly Beast that's ready to pierce my heart with your sharp claws and hungry beak that makes me feel the heavy weight of reality. The other one makes me feel passionate about myself, that makes me believe I deserve the best things in the world as long as I'm ready to receive it all, like a Gatekeeper that leads me to a place I can dream freely. But there's a Third side which is about integration. One eye looks to the other and both can see each other through the wet pupils they have. It's finally when I make sure I need to be in control and have the temperance to make it out alive.
These thoughts lead me to the day someone said I am human as an answer to a depreciative comment I made about myself. I realized I was not paying attention to anything (of course I was overstimulated by the charm of the largest metropolis in Latin America). Those words made my heart beat faster and something inside of me started to synchronize. I regret the times I felt unable to overcome that feeling of inadequacy, and the result was not meeting incredible people from the virtual world in person. And also because I didn't think such legendary people could have the slightest appreciation for me
Sometimes I feel plastic when I create content and allow myself to celebrate the likes I receive. "YOU ARE SUPERFICIAL," the Beast tells me. But the Gatekeeper says it is okay if I receive some attention since I couldn't experience the good part of it in my childhood. And the Third side comprehends what is to be Human again. by @markinleather

Here is an ending to this incredible photoshoot era I did with my friend. I wore my @yessir_br singlet and borrowed my friend's Adidas to compose the look. I felt sexy, hot, fresh and cute somehow.
I know that not all of my followers liked it (the numbers don't lie), but it's equally rewarding to express myself in a way that feels comfortable. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to be who I am and for being accepted with my strangeness.
Life has brought me into contact with incredible people and I never again felt out of place or invisible.
Right now, life has never had so much meaning for me, and it's thanks to each and every one of you who bring me beautiful words that encourage me every day.
I love you all 🖤💙🤍 by @markinleather

My love is like a motorbike
Feels like we're flying every night
Wind in the hair, I am the Air
Feeling alive and never scared 🖤
