My art is an attempt to ground myself through magic and to give physical form to what usually remains invisible: energetic connections, ancestral memory, and the premonition of worlds that lie beyond the everyday.

The central figure of my visual world is the Poodle. It is not just an image, but a totem creature, a guide between states of being that embodies absolute devotion, peace, and the heroine’s identity.

I consciously choose a vibrant palette dominated by pink. For me, it is a tool of transformation: I take complex, sometimes painful life experiences and melt them down into a state of safety and visual euphoria.

My paintings are an invitation to pause. I want the viewer to feel their own energy and remember that we are all part of a vast, mysterious, and ultimately beautiful world. taken in Prague, Czech Republic by @markizaaart

Though filled with vibrant colors, this painting is rooted in grief. I continue to explore themes of life after death, a search that hits especially close to home right now, as the latest news from my native Ukraine continues to break my heart.

This piece is about letting go of our loved ones and holding onto the belief that somewhere beyond, they are met by their guardian spirits. I intentionally chose to paint greyhounds, as they carry a deep association with Cossacks - particularly the legendary Cossack kharakternyks (sorcerers/warriors).

Perhaps, after a brave fight, they turn into our eternal guardians, continuing to protect our peace…

These reflections of mine concern codependency in relationships—that subtle boundary at which, after a while, two people start to blend into each other. Is it necessarily wrong to lose oneself? There is no straightforward answer either, since genuine partnership is based on interconnectedness and mutual cooperation.

In the middle there is a poodle—firm, self-assured, and fearless. It comes across a snake which is blocking the way, even though the snake is not actually venomous but is only imitating a coral snake. Does the poodle realize it’s an illusion?

The choice is not with the dog but with the hooded crow sitting on its back; the crow symbolises peaceful coexistence in the wild, just as these intelligent birds harmoniously share human environments.

The scene is illuminated by the full moon and seems to draw upon mystical energy; around the moon are constellations showing the Lion, the Bull, and the Eagle—figures which appear on the well-known ‘Wheel of Fortune’ Tarot card—and they act as a gentle reminder of fate, choice, and the important decisions we have to make. by @markizaaart
