As of today, we officially have a 1st Grader! They always tell you that time flies, and as much as you think you’re prepared for it, you never truly will be.

It feels like yesterday we took a helpless little baby home from the hospital, and now here he is on his way to 1st Grade, equipped with his own quirks, personality, emotions, hobbies, likes, dislikes, and everything else that makes him who he is.

I’m so proud of who Torrin is becoming at such a young age. He wakes up every single day just happy alive. Most days I’m jealous that he wakes up just full of energy, and consistently happy each and every day. He’s kind, sweet, caring, loving, intelligent, funny, goofy, all while also being an absolute space cadet, and sometimes even stubborn just like both of his parents. Even with these minor flaws, he’s already a good person to his core, which is most important to me over everything else.

Torrin, your Mom and I adore you, and are so proud of who you are becoming in this world. Even on our hardest and most challenging days, you always bring us back down to earth, and remind us of just how amazing you are.

First day of Kindergarten for this guy!

It feels absolutely crazy to say that. They truly do grow up so fast, but it is incredible watching him turn into a little man each and every year that goes by.

On February 14th, 2024, I married my best friend in this world. I finally earned the privilege of calling this kind, caring, loving, nurturing, thoughtful, compassionate, and absolutely beautiful woman, my Wife.

I’ve waited years and years for this day to come. After having our son nearly five years ago, four years passing since our engagement, and nearly seven years together, we finally are able to call each other Husband and Wife. I’m still ecstatic about it a month later now, and I always will be.

I’ve never felt a love like the love I feel for you, Emily. I will forever and always cherish you with all of me.

I love you so much.

Happy 7th Birthday to my little buddy!

We had a fun filled day at the Cape starting with donuts in the morning, then a trip a playground that had this awesome skate park, then the beach right across the street immediately after. We rounded out the day with dinner, and an America themed birthday cupcake he picked out himself from the bakery.

He said his favorite part of the day was the beach, skate park, and playing with us at the house before we left this morning. So, I think we nailed it when essentially the whole day was his favorite part!

Today my beautiful wife and I celebrate 9 years of our lives that we’ve spent together.

Watching you grow into the person you’ve become has been nothing short of magical for me.

We went from two kids taking on adventures together with just the two of us and our dogs, to parents of an amazing 6 year old boy, 5 dogs, a few fish, way too many tarantulas, and over a 100 various types of snakes, geckos, chameleons, bearded dragons, and something else I’m sure I’m missing!

To me, you’re that same girl I instantly fell in love with after just one in depth conversation at work together. I felt it in my bones. I just knew I had to make you mine, and I did. I don’t regret a single moment of it either, because we both spend our days constantly thinking about each other. When we aren’t together, we wish we were, and I love that about us.

I promise to love each and every version of you as the years continue to go by. While our days of hiking in the woods with the dogs have been traded for scooter/roller blade sessions with Torrin and the dogs, family beach days, Lava Island/Fun City trips, or going to the local reptile expo, I look forward to each and every minute I get to spend with you, and our not so little family.❤️🐶🐍🕷️🦎 taken in Westchester County Center by @markjlepage

This guy turned 6 YEARS OLD today!
🎉🎂🥳🎈🎊🎁
🚙🚛🚑🚚🚒

I just simply cannot believe how fast his childhood is flying by. However, I’m grateful that Emily and I get to still be his best friends for now, while it lasts. Without any siblings, it’s just the three of us in our family unit, and I think we all really enjoy it that way.

Some days it can feel like a struggle to balance life, in addition to giving him the attention he deserves, as an only child. It always hurts a little watching him have to play by himself when things have to get done around the house, but on the other side of it, I love how much he looks forward to having us involved when it’s his time. You can feel just how much he adores Emily and I as his Mom and Dad, and also his best friends. That is a feeling I wish I could bottle up and hold onto forever for when the time comes that he’s too cool for us anymore.

For now, I’m going to hold onto it and cherish it, and try to put even more my energy into it while I have it.

Although the weather isn’t giving us the Summer vibes we’ve always been used to having this time of year for your birthday, I can always count on you to be my gorgeous blonde ray of sunshine every single day.

Back with another bi-monthly posing update! 😂 Had a whole month of being couch ridden with a death illness, but I’ve been back on track for two weeks now! Very happy to be back in the gym!

Happy Anniversary to my lovely Wife, and my forever Valentine. Emily and I are celebrating our first year of marriage together today.

We spent the day traveling to Georgia for a weekend filled with reptiles at the @southeast_reptile_expo! We are so excited for a fun filled weekend together!

It’s been a LONG time since I’ve posted an update, or at least it feels that way. That holiday season hit your boy HARD. Got myself up to the heaviest I’ve ever been at 196.4 pounds. I have zero business being nearly 200 pounds at 5’8” being a natty daddy. So, time to clean this mess up.

Currently down 2 pounds, so sitting at 194.0, after a few weeks of getting my steps up, while also eating cleaner.

So, as many of you have noticed, I’ve become quite the snake person these days. @em_lifts_runs is fully to blame. Since August when we got our first Ball Python, Cavatappi, we’ve both become quite obsessed.

I went from saying “You can get a snake, but don’t be mad if I never hold it. I hate snakes.” To yesterday buying MY first snake, even though we now have 10 snakes. Thank you for helping me find a new love, and a new thing to be passionate about, Emily.
