POSTS STORIES REELS

Part 2 (page 11 - page 14) of “The Knick-Knack Man” , with the first bunch of sketches that i ever did of this guy. When I first drew him (see slide 6) i had no idea who this guy was but then the base of the lullaby and the horrible grandma character just popped into my mind and it pretty much snowballed into this short story right away. Thank you for reading! #comics #makingcomics #comic #indiecomics #horror #spooky #weird #drawing #storytelling #inking #ink #pencil #paper #lullaby #talesofthedeadventriloquist #thedeadventriloquist #theknickknackman #knickknackman #marklaszlo by @marklaszlo

A fotókat @sebestyen_laszlo készítette. ————————————
Its cartoonist/influencer-o-clock time! A little while ago i was interviewed by Forbes about my work with @artofmm who was nice enough to say super kind words about my drawings. „Życie i czasy Boby Fetta”

Mark pokazuje tu mistycyzm „Gwiezdnych wojen” niezwiązany z Mocą, lecz z kulturą, rytuałem, obcością i potęgą tradycji.

To właśnie tutaj Boba staje się niemal herbertowskim „Głosem Spoza Świata”, a cała opowieść zmienia kierunek.

🇬🇧----

“The Life and Times of Boba Fett”
Episode V - “Voice from Beyond the World”

When creating Star Wars, George Lucas drew from many different sources, and one of them was Frank Herbert’s Dune. And perhaps nowhere does the echo of Arrakis feel stronger than in the deserts of Tatooine.

This page, the fifth in the cycle and the fourth to be completed, serves as a kind of catharsis for the entire story. After his moral fall in Jabba’s Palace, a broken Boba finds himself among the people of the desert. First as a prisoner, later as an accepted member of the tribe, he rediscovers honor, tradition and a code built on respect rather than fear.

Mark turns this scene into something more than a simple group composition. Fett stands among the Tuskens almost like a saint, framed by the halo of Tatooine’s suns. The whole piece carries echoes of icons and sacred art. Laszlo shows a kind of Star Wars mysticism here that has nothing to do with the Force, but instead with culture, ritual, otherness and the power of tradition.

This is the moment when Boba becomes almost Herbertian, a true “Voice from Beyond the World”, and the entire story changes direction.
