Happy spooky season. Some new art right around the corner. Finishing a very busy haunt season at @hexedhauntedattraction and working on @screamiverse_expo which takes place April 18-19.

But always living that Skelly life. by @markmunsterarts

A design I just finished for Screamiverse Expo. I like these graphic design projects where I can use bold colors. This was a fun one. Screamiverse Expo is a new convention coming to the Roanoke, VA area in April 2025, featuring horror, sci-fi, arts, music and more. It's hosted by @hexedhauntedattraction .

I love that my placement is by this mouse on the way to the bathroom. I love to think about people having to walk past it and thinking "what the fuck?" Haha. by @markmunsterarts

Went to The Camel after work yesterday to see everything installed for the art show for the first time. Stoked to see my doodles beside so many amazing artists. I did get caught in a couple oldie boogie pits though, but got out before the wall of death. by @markmunsterarts

Another throwback design that I retooled with current branding. This was originally done in 2015 I think, so 11 years ago. I was sending caricatures and doodles to the gang, just as a joke, and was asked to design something. I hadn't touched a writing utensil in a creative way in so many years, since making flyers for bands I was in, but gave it a shot, for shits and giggles.

This is one of the first designs I did for the haunt. Conjoined twins, holding an ax to represent the horror aspect, and banjo to represent the entertainment. Sketched this one out, scanned it, and then traced every line with a mouse in Gimp! My process then SUCKED. My process is still rough, but I've learned a lot. by @markmunsterarts

Another repost of an older piece. The Obituaries is an anthem, huge sing alongs. This was inspired by that.

Progress vid, starting from the rough sketch, and ends with the scanned and edited version. by @markmunsterarts

Revised an old design, for rebranding and rerelease as a T-shirt design for the haunts 15 year anniversary. The initial design was done in 2016, and I had an extra wacky process then. This was hand drawn, then scanned, and I did the digital art in Gimp using a mouse! It would take forever doing art this way. That was where my skill was at the time, but I'm always learning how to upgrade tools and techniques.

Now, everything still starts on paper. But we then move to procreate or affinity, and even a little Canva from time to time. by @markmunsterarts

This is called "My Skull Will Keep Us Warm", 11x14, lots of pencil on bristol. Been working on this concept for some time, an unconventional Martian romance. Came out a little muddled because I wanted it darker, used the hell out of smudgies too.

Going to switch over to digital again for a few ideas I have, but will be back to my lowbrow roots, hopefully with color in tow. by @markmunsterarts

Be sure to swing by and check out my work and the work of 29 other local artists, part of the Creatures of the Night show at The Camel.

Very stoked to be part of this, every piece is incredible, and seasonal. Get spooky season started early, and go check it out. by @markmunsterarts
