@a_taste_of_coronado was an absolute success!

I want to thank my co-chair @saraelizabethstillman for all of her guidance, the amazing ladies on our committee who worked SO hard, the sponsors who generously donated to make the event happen, all the restaurants who participated, and everyone who bought tickets and enjoyed Taste!! Thank you!!

We had our best year yet and are so thankful to raise money with @cjwc92118 for @promises2kids.

There are people who live in a community and then there are people like Sam...

And then there are people who become part of its fabric.

@samobrienrealtor is the second one.

I’ve known her for a long time, both as a friend and a client, and watching what she and her husband @markobrienrealtor have built in Coronado over the last few years has been so freaking cool.

Because everyone talks about “being involved in your community.”

But there’s this tiny percentage of people who actually build their life around it.

They know the people. They show up to the events. They volunteer. They serve. They introduce people to each other. They care about what happens there even when there is absolutely nothing in it for them.

And eventually, something really powerful happens:

The community starts knowing them back.

That’s Sam.

She didn’t position herself as the go-to person in Coronado by constantly telling people she was one.

She became one by being everywhere that mattered, with the right intentions, for years.

Her friendships are there.
Her work is there.
Her time is there.
Her energy is there.
Her actual LIFE is there.

And I think that distinction matters.

Community isn’t a marketing strategy you turn on when you need business.

When you do it the way Sam does, community becomes the multiplier.

Your relationships get deeper.
Your roots get stronger.
Your reputation travels into rooms you’re not even in.

And the business becomes a byproduct of being someone people genuinely know, trust and want around.

That kind of positioning can’t be manufactured.

You have to live it.

And Sam absolutely does...and it's been really fun to watch 🤍 by @markobrienrealtor
