Mark sent me a large file of Mp3s of ideas during lockdown, There were so many great ones I knew straight away that i had to drop what i was doing.It felt very much that i had not been anywhere like this before both as soon as i put my headphones on and started trying to find the vocals, words and sounds,but also, as it progressed, watching Jonathan respond so freely and spontaneously with all his video and artwork ideas.It was mental, and i feel lucky to have been involved.I am looking forward to this finally coming out, Tall Tales is very important to me. —The debut collaborative album from Mark Pritchard & Thom Yorke: Tall Tales, 9th May 2025New song This Conversation is Missing Your Voice out now with video by @zawhatthe Links in bio by @markpritch

Jonny Niesche and Mark Pritchard ‘Total Vibration’29 July–23 August 2026 Stores Studio, Brisbane PowerhousePresented by Brisbane Powerhouse and Institute of Modern Art for Night Feast @nightfeastbrisbane, this major new site-specific installation transforms the Stores Studio into a realm of reflection and reverberation. Two massive flexible mirrors—one horizontal, one vertical—face off across the space, rippling, trembling, and shimmering in response to an atmospheric soundtrack by Niesche’s longtime collaborator, British electronic musician Mark Pritchard. Artist Jonny Niesche is known for his calm, clean, serene, minimalist aesthetic and industrial sheen. Their effects lure and captivate us like moths, while conjuring up precedents and parallels from art history.‘Total Vibration’ opens to the public on Wednesday 29 July for Night Feast at Brisbane Powerhouse. Far Out Recordings came correct for Record Store Day. Three worth hunting down.Nicola Conte, one of the labels most loyal and prolific artists, with a limited 7” with two new tracks drawing from early 70s Brazilian jazz and modal hard bossa.Troubleman - Time Out Of Mind is all round maverick Mark Pritchard’s beloved 2004 Far Out record back in an expanded edition with Strike Hard finally on the album for the first time.And Agustín Pereyra Lucena’s Ese Dia Va A Llegar (1975) is back under its original Argentine title for the first time in Europe. The Buenos Aires guitarist who Vinicius de Moraes called an equal of Baden Powell. by @markpritch

The Chameleon aka @tommiddletonmusic & @markpritch / LINKS on #goodlookingrecords is « an absolute classic and by artists not known for this style. Mesmerising beauty on this wonderful 12". I was so lucky to find this for 50p at a car boot. » « My first vinyl record. Russia. 1998 and I am 16 years old. A box with used records. 10 bucks. About one-twentieth of my father’s monthly salary. Changed it to another record 3 years later. Regretted. Bought a test pressing version few years ago. » « Masterpiece. Key. Fresh. Different. Chameleon gets it done with a double A side release. Links is a sweet bubblin’ roller with amen touches and of course begins with the sample from the movie ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’. Also found on Logical Progression 1... had to be good to feature on that release.Just Close Your Eyes was way ahead of the game... a trip hop, tropical house, D&B slice of beats and chilled out vibes.
