The last several months here in Vegas have been great. I flew over the Grand Canyon, had family visit and have 2 students getting ready to pass their private pilot checkride (final test). Airplane Multiengine Land ✅ 1,100 hours. A friend once said “It’s amazing how things seem to fall into place when you’re doing what you’re meant to do.” From a technical and skill perspective, this was the easiest aviation rating I’ve earned. From a mental perspective, it was the hardest by far. I am fortunate to have incredible people in my life. I was able to make this happen BECAUSE of the help, love, and support I receiced. Life as a nomadic pilot has been more of an adventure than I anticipated and full of surprises that I didn’t expect. I moved here in San Diego less than 2 months ago fully expecting to be flight instructing for a while but was hit with a curveball. One of my former students called me and offered me a job as airport manager. Quite a bit of flying will be involved with this position. I will be moving back to Nevada at the end of the month. It will be my third move this year. I’ll miss the incredible scenery and weather, but I’m excited to take the path less traveled along my aviation journey. SEEYUH San Diego! by @markskyguy

After one last week of accelerated flight training, a last minute flight over the Grand Canyon, and a scenic solo fun flight over Mt. Charleston, my student is now a private pilot. Now I’m off to make some more pilots! by @markskyguy
