200 episodes. Honestly, that number means more to me than I can probably put into words. What started as a love for hip-hop and a desire to really talk about the music has turned into a journey that has taken us through 200 episodes of album reviews, legendary Hip-Hop interviews, and dope convos with local artists on scene of the IE. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built— because we’ve always approached this from a genuine place. We’re just people from the 909, the Inland Empire, sitting down and talking hip-hop the way we’ve always politic’d about it: the meaning, the iconic production, our experiences with it and the impact it had on its time. These are memories we had with it and why it was always more than just music.

There’s something special about being able to reach 200 episodes while representing where we come from. The Inland Empire has always had its own voice, its own culture, and its own stories, and I’m proud that That’s Hip-Hop gets to add another chapter to that history. Along the way, I’ve learned that reviewing an album isn’t really just about deciding whether something is “good” or “bad.” It’s about understanding the time it came from, the people who made it, the people who heard it, and why it still matters—or why it might have been forgotten. If we’ve been able to make even one person hear an album differently, discover an artist they never knew, revisit something from their childhood, or simply feel like they’re part of the conversation, then every episode has been worth it. 200 episodes later, I’m proud of the show, proud of the journey, and especially proud that we’ve been doing it straight from the 909.

The Knicks mean a lot to me. I've been through a lot of lows and very few highs. I am proud to be an official superfan. I am comfortable showing this emotional side because this team is everything to me. Moments after they were declared champs, I was finally able to let it all out.
