I have to admit, it’s a little daunting applying for the Sephora Squad again, knowing there are tons of incredible and talented creators vying for just a few spots.

I debated submitting myself this time around because I know the chances are slim, and doubt really creeps in when comparing yourself to these other Content Creators. But Squad application time always forces me to reflect on my own journey, and I’m not just doing it for myself in this moment. The second picture in this post was a look I had done very early on in my makeup journey in 2020. I’m doing it for him, because I know how far he’s come and he deserves for me to try.

I was 30-years-old when I started getting into makeup and it took a lot of confidence to open up and showcase that passion. Confidence that came from being consistent, learning, and finding people with the same i interest and love for all of it here on this very app. One of my goals as a Content Creator and Sephora Squad hopeful is to help others (who were just like me in 2020) find that confidence - whether it be from reviewing and relaying knowledge about a product, an informational tutorial, or simply seeing a 30-something guy wearing makeup that makes you realize YOU CAN TOO! Because beauty is for EVERYONE. Period!

This ambassador program would be amazingly beneficial to me, but I would also like to use the platform to pass on the confidence that the beauty space has given me to anyone that needs it. 🖤
