Ran into some cool posters at the site of the now-vacant and demolished Sursum Corda complex at 1st and M Streets NW, and decided to take a selfie, so you can get to see them too! ❤️ by @markstevenandersen7784

Volunteering with @wearefamilydc
We Are Family mobilizes a committed corps of volunteers to reach out to isolated inner-city seniors with free services, advocacy, and companionship, building a network of caring eyes and ears that enables at-risk seniors to age in place.

You can volunteer to deliver groceries any Saturday. It’s just a few hours & it makes a huge difference to seniors in our community.

At Nats Park for Foo Fighters... but Mannequin Pussy just knocked it out of the park, both with music and message: After thanking all the folks doing the humble but essential jobs to make a show like this happen -- ticket takers, food stand employees, stage builders and beyond -- she said "The working class makes this country great"! And then she addded, "And since we're in DC, fuck Donald Trump!" Right on sister! 💓 by @markstevenandersen7784

Just dropped off my DC ballot -- make sure to vote by June 16th! Some big races... I am supporting Elissa Silverman, Janeese Lewis George, Robert White and the Free DC slate... and OPPOSING Kenyan McDuffie as an unprincipled corporate shill/political opportunist who won't stand up to Trump... please put him at the bottom of your ranked choice vote or don't rank him at all. Feel free to disagree -- just get out and vote! 💓 by @markstevenandersen7784

One of the booths at the very cool Riot! DC, festival, a survivor-led, DIY music festival and community event held in the D.C./MD area to celebrate Sexual Assault Awareness Month and promote healing through feminist punk music. This festival took place on Sunday, April 26th at The Garage in Boyds, Maryland. Right on to the folks in the DC riot grrrl band Mac'n'Toss who organized this great event! 💓 by @markstevenandersen7784

We turned the @wearefamilydc grocery delivery to 600+ seniors into an unofficial No Kings rally, then a bunch of us took off to other NK actions... what a great day! With thanks to @positiveforcedc as well... people have the power/to redeem the work of fools! by @markstevenandersen7784

A cool FB post from longtime PF member, Brad Sigal, who helped create this record (w/ the great CCR Vietnam era protest song added to the mix!): "The record is a Positive Force DC/Dischord compilation of DCpunk bands... it was put together around 1987-88, right at the time I moved to DC and got involved with PF. I think many of the songs, and the compilation as a whole, stand the test of time pretty well. The record was a fundraiser for organizations fighting against homelessness and for civil liberties." (Note: the recent reissue now benefits We Arw Family DC, and group serving low income inner-city seniors.) by @markstevenandersen7784

Me and my son with long-time PF/We Are Family supporter Dave Grohl after the incredible @foofighters benefit show for Power To The Patients at @theanthemdc on Tuesday night... the photographer Jason Hamacher had just cracked a good joke (asking if Mark had some words he wanted to share before the photo was snapped... Jason knows (long-winded outspoken) me very well! Clearly the joke amused Dave and my son as well... they know me too. 😂 The night's
special guest speakers included the always inspiring @mrchuckd_pe, Fat Joe and Lainey Wilson--such a great night! ❤️🔥 by @markstevenandersen7784
