Stayed busy this summer (mid June through Sept 30th btw), very fortunate to have so many friends and family (so many I cannot fit them all into this post!) in life to spent time with!! Thank you all for the bday wishes, game nights, grouptexts, reassurances, reaction gifs, squat cues, non-alcoholic beers, sips of martini, oysters, wedding Invitations, and concerts. by @markthetall

We spent 6 (me) and 7 (Eleanor) years in the bay, but it’s time for a return to Sacramento in pursuit of our dream to buy a house, so I accepted a new position out here! Thanks so much to all of the friends we made, the experiences we had. I’ll never forget it. by @markthetall

I asked El if she thought we were a power couple and she said yes with zero hesitation

Happy Anniversary to the best person know, it’s hard to decide which photo from this year we look happiest in, because every photo is the happiest one. by @markthetall

I got a lot of bad news in June, so I think it’s important to look at these photos and realize that it wasn’t all bad in hindsight after all. I loved Alcatraz, I loved Salt Lake City, I loved Merissa’s party (sorely needed). The best advice I ever got was my father telling me “if you look for problems you can always find them.” Here’s to July, it can only get better from here on out. by @markthetall

Congrats to Lily and Luci for their beautiful wedding ceremony! I ate a lot of Cuban food with friends old and new. Every single person I met knew ball. by @markthetall

Had so much fun at Spring Warrior at Untamed Strength in Sac!! Went 7/9, blew my third attempts on bench and deadlift, but I think both of those attempts were from lack of experience and that will come with time. However, I won’t forget how it feels when there’s an audible groan from the audience bc you jumped the press command LOL

145kg Squat + 90kg Bench + 157.5 Deadlift = 392.5kg/865 for my first total.

Thanks first to @elnewcomb for her love and support during meet prep and day of, she’s extremely the best!!

Second to my coach @coachdisa_ioi who had my back for my first meet prep and meet day, there wasn’t a single moment where I felt nervous, worried, or anxious in the least.

Third to my friends and family that came and supported, to bing chiling who have gave me great advice and pep talks during my first year of powerlifting and my first meet prep. Love you guys and this meet really reinforced that this sport is a community and you need to have your people in your corner!

Thanks to Untamed Strength and PLU for hosting a great event!! by @markthetall
