Es ist an der Zeit, den ersten Jahrestag unseres @ultimate_moodhunter-Accounts zu feiern, den wir (@ina_hochrein und @markus_kaller) im letzten Oktober ins Leben gerufen haben.

Inzwischen wisst ihr wahrscheinlich, dass wir gerne draußen unterwegs sind, vor allem an dunklen, regnerischen und „moody“ Tagen. Daher war es für uns nur natürlich, dies mit dem Feuersalamander-Monitoring in den bayerischen (Vor-)Alpen - unserer "Hood" - zu verbinden, um das Artenschutzprogramm des @LBV_bayern und @Bundnaturschutz zu unterstützen.

Wie vermutlich allen von Euch bekannt sein dürfte, sind Feuersalamander ebenfalls besonders an trüben und regnerischen Tagen aktiv, was sie in unseren Augen zu den ultimativen „Moodhuntern“ macht - daher der Name des Accounts.
In der Zwischenzeit haben wir eine Menge treuer Follower gewonnen, die uns immer wieder in ihren Beiträgen markieren und uns mit Informationen unterstützen. Insgesamt haben wir mittlerweile über 200 Meldungen mit Foto, Datum und Ortsangaben erhalten, die wir an den @LBV_bayern weitergeleitet haben.

Wir haben Freundschaften geschlossen und viele neue Bekanntschaften gemacht, die alle unsere Faszination für Feuersalamander und unsere Besorgnis über die vielen Gefahren teilen, denen diese wirklich charismatischen Tiere mittlerweile ausgesetzt sind.

Wir wollen an dieser Stelle einmal ein GROSSES Dankeschön an Euch loswerden! Ihr seid spitze!

This had been on our bucket list for a couple of years now. A knackering hike with 10/10 views: it's totally worth it, nothing else to say.

Don't forget to check out the Soiernhaus next to the lakes during your next hike up there: friendly folks and delicious food make for a perfect spot to stretch your legs and relax for a while 😀

Shooting the milky way has been a dream of mine for a long time, and discovering a cool location like this makes it even more fun. And it's not just the act of shooting itself; the whole experience is almost spiritual (well, at least for me). Who am I, what's my place in the universe, what's the significance of this whole human experience? These questions keep popping up in my mind, and one thing I realized is: Make peace with your past before aiming for the stars.
