My preset is finally available!
Over the past few years it has become quite clear to me that I should consider releasing my preset. I have noticed the consistent questions; How do you get your colors to look that way? Will you ever share your editing process? Do you have a preset? Etc.

I want to be honest and say that I have been very hesitant to share this because it has always felt like a part of my identity for so long. The colors I have developed over the years have become somewhat of a signature, and I take great pride in that. The constant experimenting with colors has brought me to a final look has been very rewarding for me. It has helped me further define my artistic voice and gain clarity on what I want to share with the world. It has been about nine years of refining and perfecting my colors which is what you see today. Now has come the time that I share my preset with you. Every photo you have seen from me has been edited using this preset. While I always make adjustments based on each photo, this preset gets you 90% of the way there. We are all Flowers Under the Sun’ takes you on a journey of vibrant colors throughout countries like Greece, Mexico, and many you will soon discover. I started to notice the more present and intentional I become in my photography, the more I noticed similarities throughout the places I would visit. In this book, I wanted to intertwine these colors, shapes, and light that felt in rhythm with each other. So pay attention to how seamlessly these places flow together. We’re grateful to have photographer Marcus Lloyd (@marky_marc13) participate in Through Her Lens, an online benefit auction supporting KIOO NYC.

Working across film and digital photography, Lloyd explores place, atmosphere, and everyday life through travel, architecture, landscape, and intimate observation. His images are guided by an eye for natural light, rich color, and the small details that give a place its emotional character.

Photographed during peak spring bloom, Brooklyn in Blossom XII captures a cherry tree spilling across a residential Brooklyn streetscape. The softness and abundance of the blossoms contrast with the brick, stone, and ironwork below, transforming an ordinary city block into a fleeting celebration of color and renewal.

Through Her Lens is live October 1–15 on Artsy. 100% of proceeds support KIOO NYC, a new photography workshop for recently arrived immigrant students, using photography as a tool to foster dialogue, creative expression, and connection.

I love making photographs from the ordinary moments of life. The places you walk by every day and may not notice. The way the morning light can fall on a building and suddenly make it feel completely different.

There’s something special about noticing these fleeting moments, and even more so in seeing how they photograph and age over time. The things that once felt mundane can begin to feel nostalgic in a way that you could have never anticipated when you made the photograph.

A morning in New York with the OM SYSTEM PEN. I was surprised by just how light, quick and easy it was to carry around. There’s something really fun about a camera that you can just pick up and shoot without thinking too much about it, and still come away with images you’re really happy with.
