1️⃣ Walking into a classroom with no lesson plans.
That’s basically an open invitation for chaos to unleash. You’ve got a few minutes to figure out what you’re even doing. It doesn’t happen often, thank goodness but when it does…it makes for a LONG day.

2️⃣ Getting switched.
I totally get it. Things happen, it’s part of the job. But when you walk in thinking you’re doing small reading groups all day and then suddenly you’re in kindergarten??
You just need a minute to process that.
Because kindergarten is a whole different level.

3️⃣ And this one… thankfully, very rare. Sitting in the wrong seat.
I once sat down at lunch and told I was in a specific teacher’s seat. I was MORTIFIED.
Pretty sure I avoided the teachers lounge for a while after that 😅

Subbing is super flexible, I can pick my days,
and that part? I absolutely love.

‼️Ask!!!!‼️

I know that feeling of sitting down at a restaurant and the only NA option being a Shirley Temple.☠️

I’ve always found servers/bartenders willing to collaborate with me to create a mocktail or provide suggestions! 👏

But you have to ask! 🥳

It’s such a sad and strange feeling to be on this side of breast cancer awareness. To actually know someone, someone you loved, someone who was part of your life and someone you truly thought you’d continue making memories with.

Now, every time you think about breast cancer awareness, you think of them. It’s no longer just a cause. She has a face, a name, memories, and a family left behind.

There’s just something so incredibly unfair about that.

Wasn’t expecting SNAKES 🐍 and hissing cockroaches 🪳 in the classroom today!

Should be a sweet day…the students have already asked if they can take the snakes out. Send help!

I used to be BIG into “Think Pink.” 🎀

But then I started looking a little closer.

Putting a pink ribbon on a product doesn’t make the ingredients any safer. It doesn’t mean the formula is healthier. And unfortunately, not all of the money tied to those campaigns actually goes toward breast cancer research or prevention. What!?

That really changed the way I shop.

Instead of choosing something because it has a pink ribbon on it, I look at what’s actually IN the product.

Because supporting women shouldn’t just be about a pink label. They should probably stop putting junk in their products… Just saying!

It should be about choosing better ingredients, supporting real research, and making choices that actually matter.

I’ve been a little quiet on here lately, figuring out my rhythm and priorities.

Brandon’s been traveling this week and had a situation that put me in a little tizzy. Nothing crazy, all is good but it definitely had me needing some extra prayer.

And gosh, I feel so blessed. 🥹

We may not be together, but there is something so special about friends who just know when you need prayer…and cover you from miles away.

So thankful for the women God has placed in my life. 🤍

I said what I said 💅

“Everyone else is doing it” isn’t a good enough reason for us.

It’s weird, that’s all I gotta say.

We’re on social media to be social, right? Yet somehow there are plenty of people on there with absolutely no intention of having a relationship with you, they’re just creeping from afar and keeping tabs. 👀 by @marladibuo

My husband: talking all day 📱💻

Also my husband when the drive-thru asks for our family order: 🫠

Like sir…you were just negotiating 30 seconds ago.

Don’t worry, I’ll lean over and do it.

Maybe we don’t need more.

Maybe we need less chaos.
Less rushing.
Less comparing.
Less noise.

And more quality time.
More slowing down.
More gratitude.
More presence.

Maybe we need to be grateful for the blessings right in front of us, instead of always looking for what’s next.

Turns out the “old-fashioned” things are looking pretty good these days. 🤍

Kind of chic, right? 😉

Never met a taco that did me dirty.
