This is a "throwback" from Tuesday that actually started out as a simple OOTD because I randomly decided I wanted to wear cowboy boots with a sundress. 😂 This weather can't decide if it's summer or fall, so we're doing sundresses AND jackets!

Hey, y'all! 👋🏽 I know, I know. WHERE IS MARY ALICE?!

Well, we're still working, and trust me, nobody wants Mary Alice Cake Mixes back on the shelves more than I do!

About a month or so ago, I shared that we'd finally found the solution to a problem that's been holding us up for TWO YEARS. Wellllll... kinda. 😂 We figured out WHAT the problem was, thought it was over, but, fixing it for real has been another story!

I've been searching high and low for a food scientist who could help me without requiring me to mortgage the family farm! 😂 Because listen!

Here's the thing. The flavor is there. The quality is there. The crumb is there. The website is ready. The packaging is ready. I'M READY! But there's still one issue with the product that I refuse to overlook.

Our First Sunday White Cake is the flagship of Mary Alice. It's the cake that put us on the map, and if that isn't right, nothing else matters. We're launching four flavors, but that white cake HAS to be right!

Now why I felt so strongly about moving back to Atlanta. Since moving back to Atlanta, I've connected with TWO people, including one who has genuinely stepped up and offered to help me get this across the finish line. 🙌🏽 #alignment

So when I say I've been in the lab, I mean LITERALLY! Yesterday, I was in the lab running tests, recalculating leavening formulas, and learning more about the science of baking than I ever imagined.

I keep joking that I'm practically a food scientist now. But look at me in my little lab coat! Don't I look the part?! 😂👩🏽‍🔬

We're working toward a Black Friday launch, but I'm not making any promises on dates just yet. What I CAN promise is that Mary Alice will return when I know I'm giving you the very best product possible.

We've come too far to rush it now.

I sweeeeeear fo liver cheese, I be over here minding my own business trying to be good and watch my mouth. But, y'all, here we go AGAIN! People concerned about my damn HANDS! At 54 years old, two weeks away from 55! 😂

Y'all remember a few weeks ago when I went viral because some idiot man told me to take my wrinkly hands back to Texas?

Well, last night, at 11:45 PM, somebody sent me an unsolicited text about my HANDS! Yes, my damn HANDS! Apparently, they watched that video, zoomed in, compared my hands to my identical twin sister's, and offered a completely unqualified medical diagnosis! Even threw in some advice about my Red Bull consumption! BITCH, WHAT?! 😂

First of all, I've NEVER taken Ozempic or Wegovy! My hands started aging in my 40s, and my sister's look JUST LIKE MINE!

And here's the thing! Who told you I had a problem with my hands?! BITCH, I DON'T! I'm perfectly fine with them! Stop trying to fix something I never said was broken!

But here's what I DO know:

1. You're a coward-ass bitch hiding behind what appears to be a fake number!
2. You KNOW me because you have my personal number!
3. You're watching this RIGHT NOW because you're clearly an obsessed fan! HEY, GIRL! 👋🏽😂
4. You're SICK! Who studies somebody's hands and takes their investigation to ChatGPT?!
5. You need to find yourself a COUCH and LAY ON IT! Because whatever you've got going on needs WAY more attention than my hands!
Baby, unsolicited criticism disguised as concern is STILL criticism! And sharing my life publicly doesn't give you permission to dissect it.
