the past year has been one of the hardest, but the last few months have been some of the best. we are so incredibly grateful & excited.

Over the last week I’ve been thinking a lot about everything it took to get Tru here.

Marlee made the labor look way too easy. We got the call early in the morning, he was there before 8pm and she barely broke a sweat.

But what I’ve really thought about is the last 2 years and what it took. The ability for us to do IVF is a blessing. The odds of us getting pregnant on our own are basically none. Then came countless doctor appointments. 2 egg retrievals because the first one didn’t yield enough. 2 transfers, after the first one didn’t stick. And hundreds of shots and needles Mo did at home, in airports, in the car, and everywhere else you can imagine.

Tru was our only viable boy embryo, and he beat the odds every step of the way.

Tru is a miracle, and Marlee’s the reason he’s here. by @marleeblarson
