Some people come into your life through an organization, but over time, they become much more than friends. They become family. ❤️ It was a real pleasure and honor to welcome three very special people into my home in Radès and to share wonderful moments together at the Dream Island Academy in Djerba. 🇹🇳🏝️ 🇮🇹 Silvia Neri, an amazing energetic coach from Italy, my dear sister and close friend. Thank you for your beautiful energy and friendship. 🇩🇰 Lars Hajslund, 2006 JCI World President from Denmark, my brother, mentor, and someone who has played an important role in my training journey. Always grateful for your friendship, guidance, and support. 🇩🇪 Marlen Wehner, 2026 JCI Global Skills Development Chairperson and Past JCI Vice President from Germany, my dear sister and close friend. Thank you for your friendship, trust, and all the great moments we share. Having you at home and spending time together in Djerba meant a lot to me. We have shared so many experiences through JCI and training, but what I value most is the friendship we have built along the way. Thank you for coming, for being part of this beautiful experience, and most importantly, for being part of my life. ❤️ You will always have a home in Tunisia! 🇹🇳❤️ #JCIFamily #DreamIslandAcademy #Djerba #Tunisia #Friendship Gratitude by @marlen.wehner.academy

🇯🇵 Grand Slam Stop #4: Japan, we made it! 🌏✨ A place I had been longing to see for many years and what a finale to my Grand Slam as Global Chairperson of the Skills Development Commission. Two incredibly engaged CNT & CAT classes, our largest course offering yet with sessions in English and Japanese, and a conference of more than 8,000 participants! I was especially happy to work again with TM Lars and TM Rochelle again: absolute rockstars to me! 😎 Even more special was finally working closely with our Asia & Pacific team, led by Bolor and strongly supported by Ankhbold and Esunge. And while Fatima was back home in Mongolia, her tireless support behind the scenes was felt every step of the way. My Mongolian force of warriors and dear friends! 🇲🇳🫶🏻 Beyond the training rooms, I loved the Women Empowerment Network lunch hosted by JCI Tokyo and felt truly honored by the incredible VIP treatment and hospitality I received as Global Chairperson. 🙏 Japan itself left a lasting impression on me. The culture, the attention to detail, the precision and the kindness of the people felt unmatched. After dreaming about visiting for so long, actually being there was something very special. Málaga 🇪🇸 → Antigua 🇦🇬 → Côte d’Ivoire 🇨🇮 → Japan 🇯🇵 The Grand Slam was never just about making it to all four conferences. It was about showing up for our global training community, connecting our Areas, strengthening our Trainer Journey and experiencing first-hand just how much talent, passion and diversity we have across JCI. Four Area Conferences. Four continents. Countless trainings, cultures, friendships and memories. Grand Slam completed. 🌍✈️💙 What a privilege. by @marlen.wehner.academy
🌍 Grand Slam Stop #3: Côte d’Ivoire 🇨🇮✨ And straight from the Caribbean to Africa. No break, no stopping. Next destination: Côte d’Ivoire! Another intense few days for Skills Development: CNT and CAT in both French and English, training sessions in both languages, and once again a full house at our Trainers Forum. 😍 A very special thank you to our Training Mentors Fares, Kurt, Kola and Joel, alongside all CATs who made delivering our trainer journey in two languages possible. It was also wonderful to meet Joel again, our Chairperson for Africa and the Middle East, and experience his diligent support throughout the conference. And a BIG shoutout to Fatima: hardworking, reliable and always supportive. I honestly couldn’t imagine making all of this a success without you. 🫶🏻 Beyond the trainings, Côte d’Ivoire was an experience for all the senses: vibrant colors, incredible dances, beautiful dresses, amazing food and an energy that is difficult to put into words. Experiencing the African continent is something deeply impressive and spiritual in its own way. ✨ I’m also grateful that I had a few extra days to slow down, fulfill a personal dream of seeing the mangroves, discover more of the country and, of course, try plenty of local seafood. 🦀 An unforgettable experience, even if it wasn’t always an easy one. Maybe that’s also part of what makes a journey truly memorable. Three stops down. So many people, cultures, lessons and memories already. The Grand Slam continued… ✈️ Next Stop: Japan! 🇯🇵 by @marlen.wehner.academy
🌴 Throwback to Grand Slam Stop #2: Conference of America in Antigua & Barbuda in June 🇦🇬✨ I never thought I’d make it to the wonderful Caribbean so soon. It almost felt like one of those dreams you keep for “someday” and suddenly, there I was. Even though I didn’t spend nearly enough time on those incredible beaches 😉, this was an experience I’ll never forget. From delivering the Certified National Trainer course together with Stuart, to the Certified Area Trainer course led by TM and my former VP colleague Sue, the Global Citizenship course, training sessions in both English and Spanish, and another vibrant Trainers Forum — Skills Development was alive throughout the conference. 🌎 But what made Antigua particularly special were the people. Reuniting with the America part of our Skills Development Commission, led by Stuart and Leycia and strongly supported by Khaleid, having our wonderful Global Deputy Chairperson Yohemmy by my side, and Esunge joining us with unwavering support from JCI Headquarters made this stop a true team effort.💪🏻❤️ Add to that the vibrant Caribbean culture, incredible warmth and hospitality, and a conference team that showed just how far a dream and an amazing team committed to making it happen can carry you. Thank you, Antigua & Barbuda, for the memories, the energy and the warm welcome. 🌊🌴 … and the kinda scary experience of my first earthquake. 😅 Grand Slam stop #2 definitely one for the heart. ❤️ by @marlen.wehner.academy
✨ Throwback to the end of April and an unforgettable European Conference in Málaga. 🇪🇸 What an incredible start to this year’s Grand Slam! There was something truly special about reuniting with my European JCI family. From kicking off the conference season with the European team, delivering the Certified Area Trainer course alongside my beloved friend Training Mentor Fares Ben Souilah, facilitating the Global Citizen Workshop with inspiring participants, including Monika Froehler (CEO of the Ban Ki-moon Foundation) and Aleyna Sayın (AIESEC World President), to working hand in hand with our Commission and JCI Headquarters Team to deliver an outstanding learning experience for more than 1,200 delegates from Europe and beyond. It was also a great honor to witness the announcement of my dear friend Nihal Zoroğlu’s candidacy for JCI World President 2027. A proud and very touching moment that made this conference even more special. Yes, I cried very hard 😭 Seeing a full house at the Trainers Forum at the end of the conference was the perfect reminder of how passionate our network is about developing future leaders. Thank you to everyone who made this conference so memorable. Your support, trust, and teamwork mean the world. ❤️ An incredible beginning to my Grand Slam journey as Global Chairperson of the 2026 JCI Skills Development Commission and I couldn’t have imagined a better place to start than the vibrant city of Málaga. Here’s to many more memories, friendships, and opportunities to create positive impact together. 🚀💛 by @marlen.wehner.academy
