MARLEN - HOW FAR WILL YOU GO

This track grew out of a desire to create something cold yet bright, clean and sharp.
But as the process unfolded, a certain warmth found its way in, along with some dirt and crunch.
These unexpected elements gradually shaped the narrative of the track, blending nostalgia with something rougher and more raw.

There’s a saying in French: “Chassez le naturel, il revient au galop.”

Last sunday i did a liveset @microwave.live studio, challenged myself to slower the tempos and play clean sounds. It brought me to some nostalgic places sometimes. Even played some old dubstep loops and I had a lot of fun trying to show up with the most compact setup: one modular rack 6u 104hp and one octatrack. I will keep that for a while i guess.

Thanks @remyssiion for the trust, @tr1kilazone and @nabilbongo for the curation and their accurate artistic vision 🤍 by @marlen__live
