if you’re looking for a scenic, moderately challenging circular hiking trail in Vorarlberg, Austria, that leads through a wild, jungle-like alpine gorge I’d recommend the Bürser Schlucht. free parking is available and we took about 1h 40 minutes to complete it, a bit over 6km and 200-something meter elevation gain 🌲

our second day at the cabin was mostly spend relaxing, knitting & drinking tea while it was raining outside. it’s such a calm and peaceful space to spend your time, we loved it! in the afternoon we were able to slip out for a walk as well as a coffee and cake at a nearby bakery ☕️

in love with these colours 🧡🌲🍁🏔️✨☁️

our first full day in montafon was started with a wonderful breakfast at our cabin @cabinski.at [AD]

we then had a big hike planned starting at the Hochjoch Bergbahn and covering the three lakes (Kälbersee, Schwarzsee, Herzsee) and up to the Kreuzjoch near Panorama Bergstation and down past Wormser Hütte again — just over 9km and 620m evaluation gain with breathtaking scenery and views which ended with a wonderful apfelstrudel and coffee! I would highly recommend this route, especially in october where a few other lifts are closed already.

we relaxed a little at the cabin after & went out to dinner at @pferdaufwolke which was nice (but nothing to rave about culinarily on this particular night, but the service was very nice!)

and I wanted to show off my quilt star patch sweatshirt I’ve recently shared sewing in my autumn weekend vlog!

we’ve arrived in the late afternoon and felt right at home, the cabin is a cozy and warm space and perfect for a long weekend getaway with a loved one 🫶🏼 I‘ll share a discount code with y’all at the end of the weekend and some of our favorite moments throughout! we’ve already made the most of this nook — knitting and chatting away with a tea 🫖🧶

tomorrow we have a beautiful hike planned and I can’t wait to get back into the mountains! 🏔️

wether it’s traveling, my hobbies, yarn shopping, triathlon gear, food or fashion, unfortunately my taste is bougier than my budget 💅🏼

but we make it work, right? I buy secondhand whenever possible, I am incredibly grateful for my friends who’ve hosted me over the years and made it possible for me to see so many beautiful places on this earth & I’m proud to have made a part time job out of something that brings me so much joy!

made the most out of a tough situation today (had my first flat tire on a ride and fortunately got saved by M with her partner and their car, again THANK YOU!) and went for a 5k run after because I didn’t get the kilometers in on the bike that I had hoped for and ended up doing my first brick session that way! 🚴🏼‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️

now I‘ll finally have to get my bike checked out and the tire fixed but it was a really nice ride until the flat happened - happy to be able and take in these autumnal, sunny days! 🍂

tried my hand at bibimbap today after loving the one from @damoa_marburg for years and it was delicious (but probably not 100% authentic) & a great meal prep (tomorrows and sundays lunch are sorted 🫱🏼‍🫲🏻)
